Alicia graduated from the University of Victoria in 2018 with her BA in Child and Youth Care. She went on to complete her Master of Occupational Therapy at the University of British Columbia in 2020. Her area of focus and passion has always been working with children and youth and she continues to expand her learning and knowledge through workshops and other education in this area. Alicia has experience working with children with a variety of needs. She uses every opportunity to add continuing education courses relevant for her field and is trained is Social thinking Strategies, she is also PEERS certified. She also has additional training and experience with mental health and anxieties and participated in continuing education in executive functioning strategies.
She is passionate about seeing clients achieve their goals and loves to see them return to doing what is most important and meaningful to them. She uses a strength based, creative and fun approach in her sessions. She believes in building rapport with clients and their families and collaborating to make meaningful changes in her client’s lives.
When Alicia isn’t working as an Occupational Therapist, she has her own floral business, so she can often be found with flowers. She loves growing her own flowers or food, the outdoors and anything creative. She moved to Vancouver with her husband from Vancouver Island to Vancouver a few years ago and love all that Vancouver and the mainland have to offer.
