Karina is a creative and enthusiastic therapist who easily builds rapport with children and their families. She values family-centered care and is passionate about creating a fun, safe space for children to play and develop social, emotional, and functional skills and tools for success in everyday life.

More about Karina
Karina has had experience across many OT domains including specialized wheelchair seating, positioning, complex care management, acute care, child development and mental health, but has always been drawn to working in a pediatric setting.
Karina graduated from UBC with her Master of Occupational Therapy in 2010. Prior to this, she completed a BA in Art History from the University of Victoria in 2008 and completed a Community Mental Health worker diploma program in 2008.
After graduating, Karina moved to London UK where she worked in specialized pediatric seating and mobility with children with complex needs including Cerebral Palsy, DMD, various chromosomal disorders, acquired brain injury, Global Developmental Delay, as well as Autism and AD(H)D. She also worked to develop programs to increase engagement in community including wheelchair skills training and youth support groups.
When she is not at Wonderkids, you can find Karina playing with her 3 active young boys and 2 dogs in and around Vancouver, enjoying nature and exploring all that this area has to offer!
Karina is a registered member of the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia (COTBC) and the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT).
